How much is it to join QCWOC? An annual membership is $25.00 + processing fees.
What types of events are there? QCWOC offers a wide range of outdoor and social events, including hiking, kayaking, camping trips, workshops, day adventures, and casual social gatherings—always focused on building community and getting women outside together. Our events are listed by these categories:

How much are events? A minimum of four events a month are FREE and some events may require additional fees for equipment rental, lodging, guides, instruction etc. The event description will specify if there is an additional event cost.

What is an event WAITLIST and how is it managed? A waitlist may or may not be used for an event. A waitlist is used to find substitutes for participants who cancel their sign up for a specific event. Once an event is full, it automatically switches to waitlist. When a person that is signed up for the event cancels their enrollment, the system will notify the next person on the waitlist. This is all handled automatically by the system, and is first in first out basis. Life happens and many times there are cancellations for events, so if an event says it is waitlisted, sign up for the event so that your name is on the list to fill cancelled spots.
How do I cancel my registration for event? Log into your account, go to the event and cancel your registration. PLEASE NOTE: paid events are non-refundable.
If I need to cancel my participation in a paid event, do I get my money back? QCWOC events are non-refundable because we only charge fees that go directly to the facilitator not to the club. However, if a paid event has a waitlist, it is possible to get your money back if another member takes your spot. PLEASE NOTE: you will only get a portion of your cost back, our system only accepts credit cards and there are fees associated with accepting credit cards. This fee is 2.99% + $0.30. If an event is FREE, the waitlist process is the same except reimbursement is not a part of the process.
What if I'm arriving late for an event? Contact the Event Coordinator Contact. The Event Coordinator Contact will decide how a late arrival will impact the start of the event and respond accordingly. The decision on how long to wait for late participants is event specific. Please consider valuable time of all participants and plan for timely arrival at all events.
Where can I see a list of what events I have signed up for? Go into your Member Profile, click on the Event History Link in the Histories group.
How do I send a question or inquire regarding a specific event? Each event has a Event Coordinator Contact. Call or text or email the Event Coordinator Contact.
Do I need specific equipment or experience to join QCWOC and participate in an event? Neither equipment or experience is needed. As a member, recommend reading the event you are interested in and contacting the Event Coordinator Contact with questions.
Does QCWOC have a FACEBOOK page? Yes, QCWOC Members Only page. This page is available to current members and includes event announcements, event posts and pictures, merchandise purchases, and member posts who just want to get together outside of a planned QCWOC event. FACEBOOK posts are managed by QCWOC administrators who manage and approval posts prior to posting.
